Pianist

   

Mary Jung-Ok Lee's distinguished musical background includes serving as the music director of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Vernon Hills, where she performs as an accompanist and conducts the Trinity Community Orchestra.

She is founder of the Global Education Mission Association (GEMA) Little Orchestra, having conducted the ensemble for a number of years in Seoul at conferences of the organization, which is a Christian educational mission based in Vernon Hills. She is also director of the GEMA Academy of Music and English in Guatemala, which opened in 2019. In addition, Mary Jung-Ok serves as the seasonal organist at Sauganash Community Church in Chicago.

Her past experience includes founding and instructing the SoftBee Piano Studio in Vernon Hills, and serving on the adjunct faculty at North Park University in Chicago and Creator Arts Center in Winnetka. She has given numerous performances locally, across the nation and internationally as both a soloist and accompanist.

Mary Jung-Ok holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Iowa, a Master of Music from Northwestern University in Evanston, and a Bachelor of Music from North Park University in Chicago.

She resides with her husband in the northern suburbs.
