Pastor

   

North Northfield's pastor is the Rev. Soong-In (Steve) Moon, who comes to us from Church of the Incarnation United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights.

 

Pastor Steve was born in South Korea and came to the United States in 1980 to attend Wheaton College Graduate School, where he received his Master of Arts in Church Ministry. His Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry is from Northern Baptist Theological School, in Lombard; his additional training in counseling is from Chicago Theological Seminary, and from the School of Theology, The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

 

Ordained in 1986, Pastor Steve has served (in addition to Church of the Incarnation) at: West Chicago Mission Congregation; Shin-Il United Methodist Church (Chicago); Bethany United Methodist Church (Chicago); Hallelujah United Methodist Church (a church plant in Arlington Heights); and Hebron United Methodist Church.

 

Pastor Steve likes to play racquetball and sing, and enjoys camping. He is married to the Rev. Sun-Ja Lee Moon, who is also a pastor. They have two children.
